Carlton Williams  -  Executive Director/Director of Coaching

      Carlton has been a staple in the St. Louis Soccer community for years. He has brought a comfort to the St. Louis soccer community with his style of coaching. Carlton enjoys coaching kids of all ages, and makes it a point to not only know each child as a player, but also as a person. His relaxed and open style of coaching allow players to grow and develop at a rate that is comfortable for them. Carlton's coaching debut started in Oklahoma with Edmund North High School boys team. He then moved to St. Louis, where he coached at Incarnate Word Academy for 3 years.  After Incarnate, Coerver Camps became the main coaching source for Carlton for the next 5 years. From there he managed " The Field" indoor facility in Pacific. Vardar soccer club was next for him, then onto MC United as the Director of Coaching.

     Carlton not only has been a great coach, but a great player as well. He started his playing career in a club system, and went onto play in college at the University of South Florida. After college, he began his 9 year professional playing career. Baltimore Blast, Wichita Wings, St. Louis Ambush, St. Louis Steamers, then onto A league, where he played for Hampton Roads, and Staten Island.

     Between Carlton's coaching and playing background, we know that you will appreciate him as much as we do on and off the pitch. You can count on him to give 100% in the effort to make your child a better person and player.


Kelly Stewart - Assistant Director/Director of Player Development

     Kelly was the head Soccer coach for both the men and women's teams at Forest Park CC in 2007-08.  He served as the assistant coach under Joe Smugala for the past few years before taking over. Kelly has over 16 years coaching experience in St. Louis, 9 of those at the club level.  He played his college soccer at Forest Park under the direction of Pat McBride, whom he credits for his style of coaching.  Kelly has been married for over 14 years to his wife Heather and has 3 children, Haley 14, Kerry 11 and Killian 4. Both girls play club soccer and Killian is just now learning the step-over.


Brian Landry - Girls Director

    Brian moved to St. Louis 3  years ago from New Orleans. He grew up in New Orleans, and has coached soccer there since he was 18. He has been fortunate enough as a coach to have won 9 State Championships at the club level. He has also coached 3 years of high school. Brian's playing experience consisted of 5 years of ODP state team, 4 State club championships, 1 regional semi final, and 1 regional final. He has welcomed the level of playing and coaching here in St. Louis, and looks forward to making St. Louis his home for good.

Joe Smugala - Boys Director

      Joe was the the head coach of the Men's Soccer program at Forest Park in 2006, and the head coach of the Women's Soccer Program at Forest Park since the 2005 season.  He is a Forest Park Alumnus, and earned All-Region Honors at Forest Park in 1991 and 1992.  He has been an assistant to Pat McBride at Forest Park for the men's soccer program since 1993.  Joe also played professional indoor soccer for the St. Louis Steamers from 2000-03 and was the assistant coach from 2003-05 under Daryl Doran.  Joe was the President of Giuliani soccer club from 2004-2007.  He is also the co-owner of Smugala’s Pizza since 1989 and the proud father of Sarah, Joe and Olivia.


Tim Allen - Coach  (You can email Tim by clicking on his picture)

     Tim was born in California and played his club ball in Arkansas where he was involved with winning 3 state championships, 4 years of ODP state team, and was also selected to the Region 3 pool team. Tim also made the All State high school team in his junior and senior years. From there Tim went on to play at the University of Huntsville Alabama, and then onto the USISL Arkansas A's team. Tim's coaching experience involves his USSF "D" license, and club coaching at Lakewood Soccer Club in Ar. He has spent the past 3 years coaching in St. Louis at MC United, and now looks forward to working with the coaches of E.S.L. fc. He has been a great coach and role model for his girls teams over the past three years, and is excited about watching them grow and accomplish their goals.
